Grocery Support Program
Help for individuals and families to buy groceries: a grocery e-gift card each month for enrolled families, in turn, when Program funds are available.
Important: Enrolling in the Program does not guarantee that you will receive a gift card. Gift cards are issued only if, and to the extent that, Program funds are available or become available. You may wait for some time, and you may not receive a gift card at all.
Program Terms and Conditions
Wish Big Foundation, Inc. (the “Corporation”) operates the Grocery Support Program (the “Program”) to help individuals and families buy groceries. Enrolled families may receive one $50 grocery e-gift card per family per month, delivered by text message or email, when Program funds are available. These Terms and Conditions explain how the Program works. Please read them before you enroll.
1. Who may enroll
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID: a driver’s license, a state ID card, or a passport.
- You must have a working mobile phone number that can receive text messages and a working email address.
- Only one enrollment per family is allowed. For this Program, a “family” means the people who live at the same address and share the cost of food. If someone in your family is already enrolled, you may not enroll separately.
- There is no income test to enroll in this Program.
2. How the Program works
- Enroll. Complete the enrollment form and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- Verify your identity. We verify your photo ID through a third-party identity verification service. You may be asked to upload a photo of your ID and take a photo of yourself (a “selfie”) to confirm the ID belongs to you.
- Verify your phone and email. We send a one-time code to your mobile phone by text message and to your email address. You must enter both codes to complete your enrollment.
- Join the waiting list. Once your identity, phone, and email are verified, your family is placed on the waiting list in the order in which enrollments are completed (first come, first served).
- Receive a gift card when funds are available. As Program funds become available, gift cards are sent to the next families in line. Your $50 grocery e-gift card will be delivered to your verified mobile phone number or email address.
- Next cycle. After your family receives a gift card, your enrollment moves to the end of the waiting list for the next cycle. A family may receive no more than one gift card in any calendar month.
- Enrollment period. Your enrollment stays active for 12 months from the date your enrollment is completed. After 12 months, your family is automatically removed from the waiting list. If you still need help, you may enroll again; a new enrollment is placed at the end of the waiting list. We do this to make room for more families.
3. No guarantee of a gift card
- Enrolling in the Program, completing verification, or being placed on the waiting list does not guarantee that you will receive a gift card.
- Gift cards are issued only if, and to the extent that, Program funds are available or become available. The Corporation cannot predict how long you will wait, and you may not receive a gift card at all.
- Receiving a gift card in one month does not guarantee a gift card in any later month.
- The Corporation may change the gift card amount, the number of families served, or the frequency of cycles, and may pause or end the Program at any time, based on available funds or for any other reason.
4. Gift card terms
- Gift cards are electronic grocery gift cards for use at participating grocery stores. The stores may change from time to time.
- Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions of the store or company that issues them, including any expiration date.
- Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and may not be sold, traded, or transferred. Selling or trading a gift card will result in removal from the Program.
- Gift cards are delivered only to the verified mobile phone number or email address on your enrollment. Keep the gift card message secure. The Corporation is not able to replace gift cards that are lost, deleted, stolen, or used by someone else after delivery.
- If a gift card is not claimed or used within the time allowed by the issuer, it may expire, and the Corporation is not required to replace it.
- The Corporation is not responsible for the products, prices, availability, or services of any grocery store.
5. Identity verification and privacy
- By enrolling, you authorize the Corporation and its third-party identity verification provider to collect and review your ID, your photo, and the information you provide in order to confirm your identity and prevent duplicate or fraudulent enrollments.
- The Corporation uses your information only to run the Program, deliver gift cards, prevent fraud, and meet legal requirements. The Corporation does not sell your information.
- Your information is stored securely and is available only to people who need it to run the Program. Our messages will never ask for your ID number or bank information.
- Text messages: by enrolling, you agree to receive text messages from the Corporation about your enrollment and gift cards. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages or HELP for help. If you stop text messages, your gift cards will be sent by email only.
6. Fair use and removal from the Program
- You must provide true, accurate, and complete information and keep your phone number and email address up to date.
- The Corporation may verify your information at any time and may remove a family from the Program, or decline an enrollment, for providing false information, enrolling more than once per family, selling or trading gift cards, or other misuse of the Program.
- The Corporation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or any other status protected by law.
7. General terms
- The Corporation may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will be posted on the Corporation’s website, and continued participation means you accept the updated terms.
- Participation in the Program does not create any contract right to receive a gift card or any other assistance from the Corporation.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
